Welcome to the hidden gem of New York City: Whole Foods Market, located at 95 E Houston St. This vibrant grocery store blends accessibility with quality, offering a wide range of organic and non-organic products that cater to both foodies and everyday shoppers. From fresh produce to artisanal baked goods, Whole Foods Market has carved out a space that feels both bustling and welcoming—a perfect reflection of NYC's lively atmosphere.
Listening to customer experiences, it's clear that Whole Foods excels in several areas:
- Quality of Food: Consumers consistently rave about the freshness of their offerings. For example, Johnny N.'s quest to try the rotisserie chicken reveals a mixed but intriguing experience. While he found the breast disappointingly dry, the legs were described as juicy and tender, earning a commendable score of 7.75 out of 10.
- Customer Service: Kamala H. had a memorable encounter with a staff member who guided her to the bathroom—what started as a simple necessity turned into a delightful story of kindness. This kind of helpfulness shows the extraordinary commitment of Whole Foods employees.
- Ambiance: Many reviews speak to the inviting atmosphere of the store. Ian M. described it as bustling and festive, making it a great place to stop for lunch or to shop while enjoying the electricity of city life.
However, like any establishment, there are areas for growth. Jessica Z. pointed out that while the service was exceptional, her experience with certain baked goods did not meet expectations. The "Chocolate Eruption" cake, while enticing in name, fell short in flavor and texture. Despite this, she noted the continued excellence of their chocolate chip cookies and brownies, highlighting the store's commitment to quality desserts.
As you navigate Whole Foods Market, be sure to venture into their produce section, where you might find delightful finds like the Omakase strawberries, which Jahnavi U. deemed sweeter than typical varieties. While they come at a premium price of $12 for a box of 12, the experience of tasting perfectly sweet strawberries can make it worth the splurge.
Overall, Whole Foods Market at Houston Street offers an experience that invites exploration and delight for both the culinary curious and the health-conscious. Whether you're looking for that perfect rotisserie chicken or fresh, organic fruits, this location stands ready to impress. Make it your next grocery stop, and enjoy discovering all the delicious offerings it has in store!

Reviewing for the Rotisserie Chicken, obviously. Whole Foods is the 2nd stop on my quest in reviewing as many grocery store birds as I can get my hands on. I went with the non-organic tissy, as I can't imagine every place will have organic and non-organic options. I need to keep this consistent. Quality control. I know what you're thinking. "You're going to eat all these non-organic birds just for us? You are going to willingly throw yourself into a bottomless pit of pesticides, GMOs, and grain fed chicken corpses for the greater of mankind?" Anyways, I picked up this $8.99 rotisserie chicken and brought it to the park to eat with my bare hands. Everyone has something to say about my preferred way to eat my tissy, but I'm just a chill guy who likes to eat a whole bird in the park. The skin was surprisingly crispy with a good char on it. Skin gave me hope. The breast, however, was drier than the Sahara Desert. After a few pieces of it I began choking up, desperately grasping for my water bottle like I just took too big of a hit off the penjamin. Just as I thought this was going really south, the leg brought it back. It was tender and juicy, and was one step below "falling off the bone." All things considered, a pretty solid grocery store tissy. 7.75/10 is the final verdict. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

I went into this Whole Foods looking for a bathroom, but what I found was far more important than a place to pee. I found a leader, a bathroom warrior, and hopefully a friend for life. Girl you know who you are if you are reading this, you lead me and my two friends to the bathroom and it was beautiful. Generous and fearless, just a few words my friends asked me to use to describe you in the review. We would have never found the bathroom without you as it was literlly like a 5 minute walk inside the store to get there. Please give her a $1,000,000!!!!

Food choices were very good. All the food we had was fresh and tasted superb. The cots are reasonable considering the location. Would definitely recommend and will look to return.

Best wf location. Great selection of organics. Fresh and organized. Highly recommended.

I ducked into this Whole Foods Market after an event nearby. I had to pick up lunch for a colleague and me, during a gap in the schedule before the next appointment. I write to report it was bustling. I'd say it was one of the more crowded of this high end chain that I have ever visited, and that is not negative -- it felt festive, and the check out line moved along briskly.

One of the newer locations that opened up from the looks of it. It's not a large place, and the connecting coffee place makes the entrance kind of hard to find. I saw many customers struggle to find the front door; besides the glass door being shattered and taped... This location is two floors, and there's an ample amount for self-checkout stations. And the staff is attentively helpful, like almost instantly! The guy popped up next to me like a genie... Startled me a bit because I had my headphones on lol As soon as I used two bags, he replaced it right afterwards. What can I say... that is diligence! They have my toast brand sparkling white tea on sale, so I had to get it; especially since it's not sold at every location. Then I saw the name of this cake "Chocolate Eruption" and had share it with a friend. Sadly, the cake was disappointing... I've had better baked goods from them ... And this cake was just not quality at all. It's like an overly sweet frosting, dry chocolate cake layer that made me sad ...:( Regrettable purchase .... But their chocolate chip cookies and brownies are still my favorite, I just didn't find it at this location today. Also didn't find the bakery section technically... Maybe I missed it somewhere ? Perhaps another day of exploration.... For those in need... Bathroom code: 55223#

I like shopping in different Whole Foods markets. I visited this store 2 weeks ago and was craving fruits. I came across these Omakase strawberries and checked them out. A box of 12 strawberries costed $12.00. That's pretty expensive but bought them anyways because I wanted to see how good they really were. The strawberries were sweeter than the strawberries I usually buy at my local supermarket. Every bite is the strawberry was sweet. Was it worth it? Yes, if you crave sweet strawberries. I think once in a while it's okay. This location wasn't as busy as the other locations I've been to. The ambiance is always nice.
